Visibility Partners
Monday, March 1st, 2010Visibility Partners help raise awareness of Philadelphia’s professional dance community and reach new audiences for dance.
Usually an organization, a Visibility Partner agrees to freely distribute a large quantity of calendars (100+) to people in their networks who may not otherwise buy a calendar from participating sponsors. We ask that Visibility Partners do this at their own cost, and/or waive any fee that might normally be associated with this distribution.
2010 Visibility Partners include the Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia; Philadelphia’s High School for the Creative and Performing Arts; How Philly Moves; the International Association of Blacks in Dance during their 22nd annual conference hosted by Philadanco; The Mayor’s Cultural Advisory Committee; & other groups in Philadelphia and beyond.
We are looking for more partners! An overwhelming majority of calendar sponsors who responded to the 2010 survey indicated that the Visibility Partner program is the most valuable aspect of this project. So in 2011, Dance/UP aims to increase distribution through this program to 2,000+ calendars.
